What are some common house hold items that show examples of different kinds of printing techniques?
I am doing a project and i need items i can easily get that show examples of these kind of printing jobs; Flexography,Gravure, non-impact printing, Planography offset lithography, surprint, reverse, bleed, gray halftone image, four color halftone image, poor registration, die cutting, embossing, hot foil stamping, individual numbering. Any and every item will help.
These are types of printing I have had direct working experience with.Flexography: most frozen food especially vegetables and fruits come in plastic flexo printed bags, meats such as turkey ready to be cooked, select cheese packs. Heat set Offset Printing: Time, Sports Illustrated, People and Entertainment Weekly are just some of the many high end offset consumer magazines, all use four color halftone process on web presses. heat set web offset printing is for longer runs on coated papers. Inks used on offset web presses requires being heat set during printing. The printed web passes through ovens before entering the folder. This all takes place at very high speeds - 60,000 impressions per hour or higher. Web Rotogravure: Most of the ads you find in the Sunday paper as well as some catalogs, numbering and locations of stores can be utilized with Fudges which can be added to the gravure press units. Sheetfed Offset printing is generally used for short runs and specialized print work such as custom bird prints but they can also print magazines with short runs.
